Kim was born in a large extensive Italian family in Pittsburg, PA. She completed her BFA from Tyler School of Art in 1990. She established her own studio in 1992 in Central PA; where she primarily grew up, married and currently lives with her husband. Kim has sold/shown her work nationally through juried exhibitions, gallery store exhibitions, sales and personally through some of the finest craft shows in the US. Kim's work has won many awards for excellence. Her work has also been published in books, magazines, articles and newspapers throughout her career. Kim completed her MFA from Kent State in 2005; where she taught JMl, ll and Adv Metals with a TA Assistantship for three years. Kim began exploring new techniques and processes. Her favorite methods include fabrication, welding, torch-firing enamels, etc. combined with traditional tinsmith methods used in antique metals. The scale of her work has evolved to include large scale, metal sculpture and installation work. Kim's Redeemed Series utilizes most of those techniques. Her faith based conceptual work; focuses on Biblical Scripture.
